Francis W. Parker School invites you to attend an evening of poetry reading with the acclaimed poet, Nikky Finney, Tuesday, April 22nd, at 7:00 PM in the Heller Auditorium. Born in South Carolina, a child of activists, Ms. Finney came of age during the Civil Rights and Black Arts Movements. Themes of Finney's work reveal her commitment to social justice and cultural preservation. She has authored four books of poetry and a short story cycle. Her most recent book of poetry, Head Off & Split, was awarded the 2011 National Book Award for poetry.

This is a free event, open to the public.  For more information see the attached flyer or go to http://www.fwparker.org/hansellpoetry?
