Barely eight weeks into the new school year, The Chicago Academy for the Arts is thrilled with the extraordinary artistic work demonstrated across the Academy community. From the Fall Figure Drawing Exhibit, to the Brush-Up-Your-Shakespeare Revue, to the Fall Classical and Jazz Recital, to Noises Off!, this has been a quarter to remember.
The annual student-run AIDS Benefit, under the direction of Dance Department Senior Izzy Ball, raised thousands of dollars for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, delighted audiences in two sold-out performances, and caught the attention of several media outlets, including NBC and ABC. The AIDS Benefit is one of our community’s most important traditions—bravo to all involved!
